Journey of St. Paul Stones to the Cross

During Lent 2009 the St. Paul congregation has carried stones in their pockets to remember the suffering of Jesus during his time in the desert.  The stones represent our sins, flaws, weaknesses and other burdens that kept us from fully committing our lives to Christ.

On Passion Sunday a Cross was carried to the altar to help us remember the suffering of Jesus.

The cross was dropped at the altar in the front of the church.

The cross laid on the altar and the congregation came forward and dropped their stones at the cross.

On Good Friday the cross with our stones embedded in it was placed on the altar.
