Pictures from "COME to the FARM" October 3, 1999

The community gathering for the worship service on the Smith farm.
On October 3, 1999 at 10:00AM we "Celebrated the Harvest" and recognized the farming heritage of our congregation. The worship service was attended by over 175 members of the community. It was held in Mr. Edward Smith's 1890 barn. It included songs lead by our choir, the puppet ministry of our youth, a blessing of the farm animals and a tribute to the St. Paul farm families. Food was collected for the Jefferson Food Bank. After the service there were hay rides, animals to see and pet, games for kids, refreshments and lots of fellowship.
Click here for a map showing the locations of present and former St. Paul Lutheran farming families. This page has a lot of pictures so it takes a little but its worth the wait

The choir lead us in song.

Our youth used puppets to provide the children's message

There where numerous animals for admiring and petting.

Mr. Smith provided hay rides that both young and old enjoyed.

There were lots opportunities for fun and fellowship.

Thanks to Pastor Ginny for the worship experience and Mr. Edward Smith for the use of his farm.
