On the evening of December 3, 2000 the community of Jefferson MD took an Advent Journey. The journey started at the United Church of Christ on the south end of Jefferson. The journey was lead by Mary and Joseph along with a donkey named Stardust. |
This is the scene as the community stops in front of St. Paul Lutheran church. |
At St. Paul a combined men's choir of the three churches sang carols while shepherds tended sheep. |
Further along the journey at a stable in front of the United Methodist Church a combined women's choir caroled. |
Our journey ended as we sang carols during the lighting of the Community tree. After the tree was illuminated we traveled to the Jefferson Community Center for refreshments and a visit with Santa Clause. Thanks to all those who helped make this memorable Jefferson community event possible. |
